Week 7 Results - Match Play

Due to course unavailability, week 7 landed the men of AGMG at Canton Country Club for their second match play event of the season. It was the smallest field of the year but nonetheless it was great outing. The marquee match of the day pitted two of the club's most consistent players into battle. Darnell Head and Carvette Kitchens went all 18 holes in a duel that say Kitchens leading for a good deal of the match. However, Head was able to scratch his way back into the match, ultimately taking the victory. Chris Givens find himself in the winners circle for the first time this season in an evenly contested match with Robert Davis. Robert is still looking to find his stride in this format. Tim Pickett and Darryl Weathersby both took out Quiency Bradley. Pickett took a commanding lead and never relinquished it. Weathersby had to hold off the charging Bradley but did so to also remain undefeated in match play. Larry Davis was able to outlast Darnell Head in the previous match play event but did not put up much of a fight against Anthony Rainey. Rainey easily cruised passed Davis in the match. The final match saw Dexter Ford going against Tim Adams. Adams was looking to remain undefeated and he did just that but it was not easy. The match went the full distance with Adams winning on the final hole.
