Week 8 Results

Vicksburg Country Club was the host site for week 8. The course was short but surprised everyone with optical design of undulating fairways, elevated greens, and deep valleys. Any score hovering around 90 was going to be well earned and any score over 100 was easily understood. None of the guys in the field had ever played the course, therefore course management was going to be a premium strategy. Congratulations goes out to Sammie Neal. Sammie was the low man for the day and clearly in a zone as he shot the season's low score of 82. Joseph Brandon was on pace to also have a great day and shoot lower than Sammie but he was not able to hold it together on the back 9. Other guys who played well were Darnell Head, Carvette Kitchens, Rodney Francis. Each of the guys posted scores in the 80's. Joseph Brandon, James Bowman, and Quiency Bradley carried the low 90's. To no surprise there were some scores in the 100s and each guy in the field was one or two swings away from posted a score they would like to forget. The consensus is Vicksburg Country Club is a must play again in the near future and one that should be placed into rotation on the calendar.
